Bishop D. S. McBride is an anointed, appointed, dynamic deliverer of the word of God. Bishop McBride is the youngest of five children born to the late Bishop J.L. McBride and Jacqueline McBride. In the winter of 2003, God placed D.S. McBride into the position of Chief Undershepherd of Grace Temple Ministries, which was founded by Bishop J.L. McBride in 1951. In 2009, God elevated Pastor McBride to the office of Bishop.
Bishop McBride has been called by God to teach and preach the life-changing Word of God. He often states, “Our church is a place where you can experience the life-changing power and presence of God.” Bishop McBride is now leading GTM into its divine purpose and destiny.
Under his leadership, Grace Temple Ministries purchased a multi-purpose facility which includes a 1,000 seat sanctuary, cafeteria, early education learning center, adult education center, and administrative offices. In addition, community-based outreach services, which include clothing and food pantries, and a G.E.D. program, have been established to assist those in need. Thousands have been touched by his ministry and giving spirit through the Good Friday Block Party, Back To School Extravaganza, Fall Festival, Free Summer Concerts, and much more. The same community of people have accepted Christ as their personal savior. In Bishop’s own words, “The purpose of the church is to meet the needs of the community, as well as leading people to establish a personal relationship with Christ.”
Bishop McBride has the heart of God which manifests in his life and the lives of his God-given flock. Bishop McBride’s love of God, the people of God, and the lost has led him to establish annual outreaches designed to demonstrate that love. In honor of this, he has been recognized by the NBC 6 news media and several others as being “one who cares.”
Bishop McBride’s accomplishments include a degree in management, 5 years management experience with a fortune 500 company, and an honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from the Dallas Fort Worth Bible Institute & Seminary. His entrepreneurial experience includes ownership of Lexxi Group Inc., Kid Grace Learning Center, two upscale coffee houses and sandwich shops in the major mall locations of Temple, Texas and Killeen, Texas, a beauty salon, and a neighborhood concession stand.
Bishop McBride ministers the word of God with such power, authority, and conviction that it changes the lives of all who hear him. In his own words, “We will win the lost, at any cost.”
